Mobile payments online merchant transaction processing QC provider BilltoMobile showcased a new one-click mobile web transaction process that enables consumers to more efficiently make purchases via wireless device. BilltoMobile's Direct Carrier Billing product identifies the subscriber's phone number when they make purchases on mobile websites. The one-screen user experience asks the consumer to accept the carrier's Terms of Use through an opt-in check box, then subsequently asks them to opt in a second time on the same screen by confirming the amount to be charged to their monthly bill. BilltoMobile leverages its proprietary risk and fraud system to guarantee the security of the purchase.
According to BilltoMobile, the new one-click purchase flow is made to assist mobile web developers monetize their efforts, announcing mobile web entertainment destination MocoSpace as the first partner to roll out the process. Merchants should continue to leverage BilltoMobile's RESTful API and do not need to code to additional APIs.
